Once again,Teyana Tayloris one to watch on theMet Galacarpet.
At fashion's biggest night on Monday, May 4, theOne Battle After Anotheractress, 35, walked the carpet outside New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art in a metallic ensemble.
Taylor, who is part of the 2026 host committee, wore a silver fringed Tom Ford gown with a matching fringed headdress, which draped over half her face.
"The outfit is always very, very important to me," Taylor toldVogueahead of the Met Gala. "It looks like it's melting as I move. I like to think of it as the 'ghost of a body,' it appears and disappears, appears and disappears as I'm moving."

Last year's theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which spotlighted the museum's spring 2025 exhibition, with a dress code “Tailored for You.” Taylor embodied the code — a nod to the exhibition's focus on menswear and suiting —with a tailor-made pinstripe suit and extravagant padded cape.

The musician and actress paired up with Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter — whom she previously worked with on the 2021 filmComing 2 America— to bring the show-stopping outfit to life, according toVogue.
She wore a red vest inside the three-piece pinstripe red suit with silver chains across the vest and down her right pant leg, and a large, padded red cape with the words "Harlem rose" stitched in at the train. The cape also had several other details, including a large red flower on the right side and silver flower lapel pins on the left.
Taylor completed the look with red leather gloves, a bright red cane, a red fedora hat with a matching feather hanging from the back and David Yurman jewelry.
Speaking about her look, the star toldVoguethat she tends to gravitate toward a tailored look for all events. “I'm already not a big dress girl,” she told the outlet at the time. “I'm in suits even without it being a suit theme.”
Taylor has also turned heads at other past Met Galas, including the 2024 event, where she rocked a strapless, deep red gown covered in rose petals at her bust and hips. The bodice was a corset design, and the skirt featured a daring thigh-high slit.
For hair, she went with a voluminous blonde look that flowed into a long, braided ponytail.
In 2023, meanwhile, the star wore a tweed Thom Browne ensemble that paid homage to the honoree of the night,Karl Lagerfeld. The design featured hip-baring cutouts, built-in gloves and a thin black veil — plus, aviator sunglasses for an elevated cool factor.
Before making it inside the event, Taylorrequired assistanceas she walked up the Met stairs in the skin-tight design.
