<p>It was announced over the week by multiple news outlets that Scarlett Johansson has become the highest-grossing actor of all time, thanks to her most recent film Jurassic Park Rebirth, which was released in theaters on July 2 and had an opening weekend totaling $322.5 million.</p>
<p>Now, her movies have grossed over $14.8 billion and counting, beating her Avengers costars Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson for the number 1 spot.</p>
<p>According to Entertainment Weekly, many of Johansson's highest-grossing movies come directly from her role as Marvel's Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, with films including Avengers: Endgame ($2.7 billion), Avengers: Infinity War ($2 billion), The Avengers ($1.5 billion), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.4 billion), Captain America: Civil War ($1.1 billion), Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($714 million) and Iron Man 2 ($621 million). The 40-year-old actress has also starred in such lucrative titles as The Jungle Book ($951 million), Sing ($631 million) and Lucy ($457 million).</p>
<p>Johansson's husband and Saturday Night Live's Colin Jost, was asked about his wife's latest achievement in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.</p>
<p>"Combined, me and her are probably one of the top couples at the box office ever," Jost joked. "She's probably doing a lot of that lifting, but combined, that's a huge record too."</p>
<p>The "Weekend Update" anchor then continued to jokingly name all of his "number 1 movies" such as Tom & Jerry, Coming 2 America and How to Be Single. "I think those may have all been number one movies... yet."</p>
<p>After the clip, Entertainment Tonight highlighted the hilarious contrast between Jost's and Johansson's box office earnings, with Jost bringing in $249 million compared to Johansson's staggering $14.8 billion.</p>

<p>The Avengers actress and the SNL comedian have been nothing but couple goals. The two were romantically linked in May 2017 after they were spotted hanging out together at an SNL afterparty. Later that year, they made their public debut as a couple at the American Museum of Natural History Gala in New York City in November 2017.</p>
<p>The couple got engaged in May 2019 and had an intimate wedding ceremony in October 2020. Then, in August 2021, they welcomed their first baby together, and Jost announced the news via his Instagram.</p>
<p>After the press tour and her box office success for Jurassic Park Rebirth, Johansson went right to work. She's currently in New York City filming Paper Tiger, an American crime drama directed by James Gray, starring alongside Adam Driver and Miles Teller. Meanwhile, SNL finished its 50th season in May and is currently on a summer break. Though it is unclear if Jost will return for the next season, Season 51 of NBC's sketch comedy showis slated to start in late September or early October.</p>
