Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) will return to *Daredevil: Born Again* after all.

Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum has confirmed in an exclusive interview with * *that the fan-favorite character will appear in season 2 of the Disney+ series, despite recent conflicting reports.

"I actually haven't seen the quote, but I can tell you he is in season 2," Winderbaum told EW at New York Comic Con on Thursday. "People don't know what they're allowed to say and what they're not allowed to say, also. 'Do I play it coy? Do I be honest?' It's always a dance."

The confusion over Foggy's onscreen fate was sparked after Henson spoke at LA Comic-Con last month.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's just not happening," Henson said on a panel about whether Foggy will return in season 2.

Given Marvel's confirmation that Foggy will appear in season 2, however, perhaps Henson was simply referring to whether his character would be *alive*. Maybe Foggy will just be seen in flashbacks. Or, more likely, the actor wasn't sure whether he could spoil his return after his character's shocking death in the series premiere.

*Daredevil: Born Again* debuted in March of this year on Disney+, reviving characters and story from Netflix's original *Daredevil*, which ran for three seasons from 2015-2018. The revival reunited Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page, and Henson's Foggy Nelson for the first time since the trio was last seen in the Netflix series.

The good feelings didn't last long, however, as Benjamin Poindexter, a.k.a. Bullseye (Wilson Bethel), opened fire on them, killing Foggy and ultimately causing Matt to cross the line he never thought he would, as he tried to kill Bullseye in revenge (Bullseye survived, but Foggy did not).

"The death of Foggy was something that we really agonized over," Winderbaum previously told EW. "It's not totally dissimilar to the death of Gambit in *X-Men '97*. Both characters represent something essential to the core idea, so that their loss actually has a huge impact on the universe that the story's living in. So it wasn't something we took lightly."

The Marvel exec also previously promised that it wouldn't be the last we see of Foggy.

"He and Deborah are coming back for season 2 in different ways," Winderbaum said. "But we're excited to work with him again.... I don't see a *Daredevil* season without him in some regard."

Season 2 finished filming this summer, and is expected to premiere in March 2026. *Daredevil: Born Again* has already been renewed for a third season.
