Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo ignored a "no filming" rule and shared an Instagram video dancing at Buckingham Palace, prompting a reply from the royal family's account

The couple, who are expecting their first child, danced to Starrkeisha's "The Baby Momma Dance," just like Meghan Markle did in a recent social media post

The Duchess of Sussex said the candid video showed a glimpse of the "authentic, fun" life that was happening "behind the scenes"

The British royal family had a cheeky reply after a couple used their visit to Buckingham Palace to take part in a viral video trend embraced by Meghan Markle.

In honor of Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday on June 4, the Duchess of Sussex shared an Instagram video of her and Prince Harry doing the "Baby Mama Dance" at the hospital ahead of their daughter's arrival. On June 25, TV and radio personalities Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo decided to do their own version of the social media trend set to Starrkeisha's "The Baby Momma Dance"...on the steps of the Grand Staircase at Buckingham Palace.

The couple, who announced earlier this month that they are expecting their first child, were at the royal residence to celebrate The King's Trust charity in a star-studded event attended by King Charles as well as George and Amal Clooney. There, they filmed the dance video despite it being against the royal rules.

Laing captioned the post on Instagram, "They said we couldn't film in Buckingham Palace."

The royal family's official Instagram account issued a rare reply in the comment section: "We see you," they wrote, adding the eyes and winking emoji.

The King's Trust also poked fun at the breach in protocol by commenting, "All of our attendees are very well behaved."

Habboo also shared an Instagram post from the event, featuring photos of her meeting King Charles, 76. "Truly honoured to meet and shake hands with His Majesty, King Charles," she captioned the carousel, which showed her laughing with the monarch and posing in the palace.

The video came just weeks after Meghan shared her own pregnant dance from four years earlier, which quickly went viral, acquiring over 50 million views. The Duchess of Sussex, 43, spoke about the candid moment on the June 17 episode of the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast while sharing her excitement to give glimpses of her personality through social media.

"You have to be authentic," she said on the show. "Did you see my 'Baby Mama' dance?"

Meghan noted that the clip was a reminder that people aren't getting the full picture of her life.

"That was four years ago," she said. "So it's also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there's still a whole life — a real, authentic, fun life — that's happening behind the scenes."

"I'm just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms," she added.
