Beyoncé Knowles-Carter dazzled again during the second night of her "Cowboy Carter" tour in Houston. But after a technical issue with a flying car the night prior, she cut both the song and the stunt from the show.

The Grammy-winning singer kicked off Night 2 in her hometown of Houston at NRG Stadium June 29 at 7:52 p.m. local time. The show marked her last show in Houston on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She hit the stage for two back-to-back nights, starting June 28.

The show wrapped around 10:30 p.m. local time — slightly earlier than previous shows, mainly due to a significant change. Toward the end of the show, Beyoncé cut her hit single "16 Carriages" from the set and avoided flying in the air in a car.

Beyoncé's car tilts midair during her June 28, 2025, show in Houston on her "Cowboy Carter" tour.

The change came a day after Beyoncé was forced to pause the show because a technical glitch caused the vehicle to tilt midair. She told everyone to "stop" repeatedly, before being safely lowered and landing the car among the audience. There were no injuries.

Before the song fans wondered if she might perform the stunt again. One fan wrote, "The flying car better behave," another said, "she won't fly tonight." While some fans expressed disappointment for the change, many emphasized the importance of it. One fan noted, "Safety first that's what matters first and foremost."

Les Twins return to the stage in Houston

Outside of the "16 Carriages" performance, many were excited to see Les Twins — Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois — dancing onstage with once again in Houston. The twin dancers first joined Beyoncé for her "Cowboy Carter" tour in London, on the international leg of her tour.

Born in Sarcelles, France, Les Twins have become known as Beyoncé's other set of twins, along with her 7-year-old children Sir and Rumi Carter. Les Twins have collaborated with her on numerous occasions, dancing alongside her on major stages, tours and videos. Some of those include the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in 2013, Beychella in 2018 and the Renaissance World Tour in 2023. Until now, they hadn't danced alongside her at any of her U.S. shows on this tour.

Beyoncé debuted many new looks during Houston closer

Of course, Beyoncé's tour has been a huge showcase of fashion and creativity. Each night, Beyoncé continues to blend high fashion and cowboy couture, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as they anticipate a new look. There's been many looks incorporating Western-glam: sparkly chaps, cowboy hats, boots and piles of fringe. And many fans made note of the many new looks during her Houston closer.

As fans know, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with 39 songs on the set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary. The H-Town stop comes after Beyoncé wrapped the international leg of her tour — first with a six-night stint in London, followed by three dazzling nights in Paris. During her Paris shows, she shocked fans when she brought out Miley Cyus and husband Jay-Z for surprise performances on the first and last night.

The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26.
