BOSTON (AP) — Romy Gonzalez homered over the Green Monster on the first pitch faced by a Boston batter, Trevor Story added a two-run shot, and the Red Sox beat the Houston Astros 7-3 on Saturday.

Abraham Toro added a two-run drive — one of three homers the Red Sox hit over Fenway Park's fabled left-field wall — and Story added an RBI double as Boston won its third straight.

Houston's Christian Walker homered for the second straight day, a two-run shot off Walker Buehler in the first inning.

The benches and bullpens cleared when Astros reliever Héctor Neris yelled at the Red Sox dugout and third-base coach Kyle Hudson at the end of the seventh. But order was quickly restored.

After beating the AL West leaders on Roman Anthony's walk-off single in the series opener on Friday night, the Red Sox erased a quick 2-0 deficit when Story hit his drive in a three-run third against Colton Gordon (4-4) that pushed Boston ahead 4-2.

Story's shot hit the top of a billboard over the Monster seats and bounced out of Fenway after Rob Refsnyder's RBI single.

Justin Wilson (3-1) came on in the fifth inning with runners on second and third with Boston leading 6-3 and struck out the only two batters he faced. Aroldis Chapman got the final two outs for his 20th save.

Gordon gave up six runs in four-plus innings.

Key moment

The Astros loaded the bases in the eighth against Jordan Hicks, but Carlos Correa struck out looking on a 99 mph fastball.

Key stat

Boston's bullpen went 4 2/3 scoreless innings.

Up next

Astros LHP Framber Valdez (11-4, 2.62 ERA) is set to face Red Sox RHP Lucas Giolito (7-2, 3.80) on Sunday in the series finale.

Prince Harry denies claims he physically fought Prince Andrew at a 2013 family gathering

A new book alleges Andrew made critical remarks about Meghan Markle to Harry, which Harry denies

The book also claims Prince William seeks to remove Andrew from Royal Lodge amid ongoing family tensions

Prince Harry is pushing back on explosive claims in a new book alleging he once got into a physical altercation with his uncle Prince Andrew — and that Meghan Markle was the subject of behind-the-scenes insults.

A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex tells PEOPLE, "I can confirm neither of those things are true. Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry."

The denial comes in response to a new book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which alleges that a "heated argument" between Harry and Andrew broke out at a family gathering in 2013 over "something Andrew said behind Harry's back," reportedly escalating to the point where "punches were thrown" and Andrew was left with a bloody nose. The book also claims that Andrew privately questioned Harry's relationship with Meghan, calling her an "opportunist" and suggesting the marriage wouldn't last.

PEOPLE has reached out to the palace for comment.

According to the book by author Andrew Lownie, with an excerpt published in the Daily Mail, tensions between Prince Andrew and both of his nephews have simmered for years. It further alleges that Prince William has worked behind the scenes to push Andrew out of Royal Lodge, the Windsor estate he continues to occupy, and has privately expressed disdain for Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

The book portrays Andrew as a controversial figure and delves into his ties with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has been largely stripped of official duties and stepped back from public life amid intense scrutiny and reputational damage.

The new book marks the latest in a series of controversial publications chronicling the royal family's internal rifts, many of which have only deepened since Harry and Meghan's 2020 decision to step back from royal duties and relocate to California.

A woman surprised her family by sneaking a message with exciting news on top of her own birthday cake

Rachel Miller recorded her family members' reactions when she and her husband Ben revealed the announcement

"We wanted to tell the parents in a special way, but couldn't figure out the best way to do it," she tells PEOPLE

A woman managed to make a cheerful birthday celebration even more joyous when she hid a special message on her own cake.

Rachel Miller and her husband Ben, both 31, learned they were expecting their first baby in December 2024. When the time came for the pair to announce their exciting news, Rachel, who works as producer and director and makes videos in her spare time, knew she wanted to record the moment she revealed her pregnancy — and when inspiration struck, she ran with it.

"We wanted to tell the parents in a special way, but couldn't figure out the best way to do it. And so I decided, my birthday's coming up, so nobody would expect it if we turned my birthday into the announcement," Rachel tells PEOPLE.

The couple, who is based in Orlando, Fla., stopped by a Publix grocery store and asked an employee to write "We're Pregnant" on a cake, which they then brought to Rachel's birthday celebration.

"It was super easy," says Rachel, who also runs a travel Instagram account where she and Ben post content from their trips around the globe.

Tucking the cake into the back of the fridge behind the food, where "nobody was peeking," Rachel even pretended to drink alcohol, appearing to sip seltzer out of an empty can to "fool" her mother-in-law, to make the reveal even more of a surprise.

When the time for the big announcement came, Ben walked into a room holding the birthday cake, which he then set down on the table.

For a few seconds, nobody seemed to notice the message written in red frosting on top, but their faces quickly changed once they realized what it said.

Rachel tells PEOPLE her loved ones were "happy and grateful" after the pregnancy reveal.

"They knew we were trying, but they didn't want to ask every time they came over," she says.

When it was time to reveal the news, Rachel recalls that she was excited, but right before, her hands couldn't stop shaking, and she was sweating.

Rachel and Ben's baby boy Camden was born on April 24. His name has a special meaning linked to the pair's love of travel.

A couple of years ago, Rachel and Ben took a 102-mile hike through England on the Cotswold Way, which began in a town called Chipping Campden.

"We loved that trip, and we think about it all the time, and it made sense. As soon as we thought about it, we knew that was the name," Rachel tells PEOPLE of choosing her son's moniker.

These days, Rachel says her son "mostly just eats and sleeps," but she adds, "We hope to turn him into a traveler like us."

While his parents most recently traveled to Guatemala, when Camden is old enough, Rachel and Ben hope to take him to England to ride narrowboats down the canals.

Rachel says she has also loved watching her husband interact with their son, explaining, "You don't know you're missing that part of your relationship until you become a parent, and then you see somebody you've been doing life with, just love someone so much."

Ben and Rachel plan to continue posting moments from their life with Camden on social media.

"We're okay with documenting things just because that's kind of how we have a scrapbook of our life, making videos and sharing that. Really, how that started is we were sharing our life with our family, and then more people just found it," she says.

The new mom, who previously shared videos throughout her pregnancy about her experience with gestational diabetes, adds that her goal is "to be educational" — not an influencer.

"That's not what we're looking to do. We're just having fun and sharing that with the world," Rachel explains.

Investigators are still searching for a man they say shot and killed four people at a Montana bar Friday morning, closing parts of the nearby forest over the weekend as they work to locate the "armed and extremely dangerous" suspect, officials said.

As part of the search, authorities shut down the area surrounding Barker Lakes, west of Anaconda, where the shooting took place, a Montana Department of Justice spokesperson said Saturday night.

Earlier in the day, the spokesperson said multiple local, state and federal agencies were searching for Brown on the ground and in the air around Stumptown Road, which sits north of the lake.

Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Police Chief Bill Sather on Saturday asked for the public's help and thanked the community for its patience during this stressful time.

"We are doing everything we can to find and bring this perpetrator to justice," he said in a video posted on Facebook. "It's OK to go about your business in town but please use caution."

The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Law Enforcement Center advised the public in a Facebook post to stay out of the area and not to approach Brown. Sather on Saturday asked anyone who sees anything suspicious to alert 911.

On Friday, a white Ford F-150 that Michael Paul Brown drove was found, but Brown "was not located in or around the vehicle," Montana Division of Criminal Investigation Administrator Lee Johnson said at a news conference.

Anaconda resident Randy Clark, who lives near Highway 1 and Stumptown Road — where the search for Brown is ongoing — filmed a helicopter flying near his home on Saturday morning on the west side of town.

Clark, a retired police officer, told CNN a helicopter search happened until after about 11 p.m. on Friday and resumed at about 6 a.m. local time.

He said he could hear authorities shouting on Friday, but he couldn't tell if they were yelling at the suspect or communicating with each other.

"I heard a bunch of sirens and stuff and saw the state troopers and local police flying down Highway 1, west toward Philipsburg," he said. "(They) stopped directly across from where I live. You could see the blue lights and stuff, everything."

The shooting took place at 10:30 a.m. local time at The Owl Bar, and the scene is secure, the Montana DCI said, without providing additional details about what led up to the shooting.

Investigators have identified all four victims of the shooting but aren't releasing their names until their families have been notified, Johnson said.

Friday's violence is among at least 256 mass shootings in the US so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive.

Cassandra Dutra, a bartender at the Owl Bar for six months, told CNN she feels extremely overwhelmed and sad about the shooting on Friday.

"It just isn't real. It's totally overwhelming," she said. She believes every person in the bar at the time of the shooting was killed, which included a bartender who was the only staff member working, and three customers.

She said Brown lived next door to the bar and would come in frequently, but noted "he wasn't a part of the camaraderie" existing with the others.

Dutra was not working on Friday but she lives near the bar and heard noise during the shooting. At first, she assumed it was coming from construction happening outside the bar. When she heard there was a shooting at the Owl, she did not think it was a dangerous situation where people were hurt.

"I didn't immediately panic because I just know the atmosphere in the Owl … it never occurred to me that anybody was hurt," she said.

Officials released a photo Saturday taken from security camera footage showing Brown leaving The Owl Bar as he fled the scene of Friday's shooting, according to the Montana Department of Justice. - Montana Department of Justice

David Gwerder, the owner of The Owl Bar, told The he was unaware of any conflicts between Brown and anyone who was in the bar Friday morning.

"He knew everybody that was in that bar. I guarantee you that," Gwerder told the AP. "He didn't have any running dispute with any of them. I just think he snapped."

CNN has reached out to Gwerder for comment.

Five families were 'destroyed'

Clare Boyle, Brown's niece, described her uncle as a veteran who struggled with his mental health in the Army and wasn't the same after his service.

Brown served as an armor crewman in the US Army from January 2001 to May 2005 and was deployed to Iraq from February 2004 to March 2005, Lt. Col. Ruth Castro, a spokesperson with the US Army, told CNN in an email Saturday.

Brown was then in the Montana National Guard from April 2006 to March 2009, she added. He left military service with the rank of sergeant.

Brown's mental health got progressively worse with the passing of both of his parents, Boyle told CNN.

She emphasized Brown is a "very sick" person — but that she did have happy memories with her uncle, like when he taught her how to ride a bike and fish.

Boyle said she personally feels remorse and heartbreak for all of the families, noting that five families were "destroyed" on Friday.

When asked about Brown's mental health history, Castro said the Army was unable to release medical information "due to policy and Privacy Act constraints."

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte said on X he is "praying for the victims, their loved ones, and the brave law enforcement officers" who responded to the scene.

Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke encouraged people in the area to "stay inside and lock their doors."

The FBI, the Denver office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Granite County Sheriff's Office said they are assisting with the investigation.

This story has been with additional information.

CNN's Sarah Dewberry, David Williams, Michelle Watson and Jessica Flynn contributed to this report.

Protestors gathered in Tel Aviv's "Hostage Square" on Saturday to stage an emergency protest following the release of propaganda videos showing emaciated Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.

Videos released by militant groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad this week showed Israeli hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski in a visibly fragile state. In one video posted, the undated footage of David is juxtaposed with images of starving Palestinian children.

They are among fifty hostages that remain in the territory, at least 20 of whom are believed to be alive.

The militant groups released the videos with ceasefire talks stalled and as Palestinians face a mounting starvation crisis in the enclave.

This photo of Israeli hostage Evyatar David is a screengrab from an undated propaganda video published by Hamas on August 1. - Hamas/Hostages and Missing Families Forum

Steve Witkoff, the United States' special envoy to the Middle East, attended the public plaza on Saturday amid the protests, one day after he visited a controversial US-backed aid distribution site in the Gaza Strip.

Witkoff later held a "very emotional meeting" that lasted nearly three hours with around 40 representatives of the hostage families, a source who was in attendance at the meeting told CNN.

During the meeting, Witkoff said ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas should be "all or nothing," with all 50 hostages in Gaza being returned to Israel in one go, the Hostages and Missing Families Forum cited him as saying.

"The plan is not to expand the war, but to end it. We think the negotiations should be changed to all or nothing. End the war and bring all 50 hostages home at the same time – that's the only way," Witkoff reportedly said.

"Someone will be to blame" if the remaining living hostages do not return to Israel still alive, Witkoff said, according to the forum.

According to the forum, Witkoff said that the US will "get your children home and hold Hamas responsible for any bad acts on their part" and "do what's right for the Gazan people."

"We have a plan to end the war and bring everyone home," he reportedly added.

Reached for comment, Witkoff's team did not offer any further information on the special envoy's comments.

The hostage families – who have frequently said that ongoing fighting in Gaza endangers their loved ones – on Saturday called for an end to the war in the territory and a "comprehensive deal" that would see the remaining hostages freed.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets on Saturday to call for the release of the hostages.

"Against the backdrop of horrifying footage and harsh reports about the hostages' condition – hostage families will cry out this morning in the heart of Tel Aviv," a statement from Israel's hostage families said. "We appeal to the Israeli government and the US administration – look our loved ones – and us – in the eyes."

Ofir Braslavski, the father of Rom, said that he did not recognize his son when he first saw him in the video.

"My Rom is hungry for bread, thirsty for water, sick, physically broken and mentally shattered. My child is dying!" he said. "I address you, (Israeli) Prime Minister (Benjamin Netanyahu): Enough! The phased approach to deals has failed," he said.

"Make the decision already - end the war and bring everyone here. The hostages, the fallen soldiers, the fighters, the reservists, and those displaced from their homes. We want to rehabilitate, to return to life, to breathe," he continued.

David's brother, Ilay, said that the treatment of his sibling is "a brutal, barbaric assault on every shred of basic human decency. It's an act so vile, it scars the very soul of humanity." He called on the Israeli government and US President Donald Trump to do "everything in your power, by any means necessary," to save the hostages.

Netanyahu spoke with the families of the hostages on Saturday evening and expressed "profound shock" over the harrowing images released by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

"The cruelty of Hamas has no boundaries. While the State of Israel is allowing the entry of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza, the terrorists of Hamas are deliberately starving our hostages and document them in a cynical and evil manner," Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu told the families that the "efforts to return all our hostages are ongoing, and will continue constantly and relentlessly," according to the Israeli Prime Minister's Office.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said on Friday that fighting will continue "without rest" in Gaza if there is no hostage deal.

"I estimate that in the coming days we will know whether we will succeed in reaching a partial deal for the release of our captives. If not, the fighting will continue without rest," he said.

'He has simply been forgotten there'

On Friday, the armed wing of Hamas released an undated video showing 24-year-old David – who was taken hostage at the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023 – being held in a narrow cell.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum Headquarters initially cautioned against using imagery from the video, but later said that David's family had authorized the publication of a still image.

On Saturday, Hamas released a new video featuring David which appears to be a longer version of the video released on Friday.

A similar propaganda video was published by Palestinian Islamic Jihad on Thursday showing Braslavski also in a frail state. Islamic Jihad said it was the last video taken of the hostage before the group lost contact in July with the militants holding him.

Earlier this week, a UN-backed food security agency warned that "the worst case scenario of famine" is unfolding in Gaza, its starkest alert yet as Israel faces growing international pressure to allow more food into the territory.

Hospitals across the Gaza Strip are overwhelmed, with bed occupancy reaching more than 200% at several facilities, according to the enclave's health ministry. Beds are being placed in corridors and on floors to accommodate increasing numbers of patients and casualties, it said.

Seven people have died from malnutrition in the past 24 hours, the health ministry said Saturday, including one child, bringing the total death toll from starvation since the conflict began in 2023 to 169.

In addition, at least 39 people were killed and more than 800 injured in the same period while waiting for aid in different parts of the territory, the ministry added.

George Lopez — who alleges the L.A. Dodgers banned him on social media — called the response "hurtful" while recently speaking to PEOPLE

The comedian has been an outspoken critic of the team's silence on recent ICE raids within the city

The Dodgers have not publicly commented on Lopez's ban

George Lopez is opening up about his strained relationship with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The lifelong Dodgers fan alleges the team blocked him on social media after he publicly criticized their lack of response to ICE raids within their home city. Lopez, 64, has consistently voiced outrage over the controversial raids, and previously called on the MLB team to voice their support for immigrants and people of Latino descent within their community.

While recently speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at The Hollywood Reporter and Social Impact Fund's 2025 Social Impact Summit, the comedian admitted that the alleged social media block didn't feel good. "It's hurtful," he told PEOPLE.

https://ift.tt/Wq6oBrF

On July 12, Lopez posted a video of himself dancing on Instagram, with the words, "POV: You just got blocked by the Dodgers" written over the footage.

"The Dodgers blocked me on social media for my criticism of the team, so they'll take a stand on me, but not on the treatment of the families who called Chavez Ravine Home before they decided to build a baseball stadium where they lived and where their families called home," he captioned the post.

Chavez Ravine was a former neighborhood in L.A. that was largely populated by Mexican-American residents and other minorities. The majority of the community was forcibly displaced in the 1950s to make way for Dodger Stadium — despite the fact that the land was originally intended to be used for affordable housing.

Lopez added, "Also no comment from the [team's] owners. what's happening everyday to the families of the people who are being treated like they don't belong. If anyone doesnt belong it's the dodgers."

PEOPLE reached out to the Dodgers for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

While the Dodgers have not commented publicly on the ICE raids specifically, the team pledged $1 million for families of immigrants "impacted by recent events in the region," per a June 21st statement.

Lindsay Lohan is reflecting on the psychological toll of young stardom.

The Freakier Friday star contemplated the media frenzy that followed her at the peak of her fame in the 2000s in a new interview published Saturday.

"I don't ever want my family to experience being chased by the paparazzi the way I was," Lohan told the UK outlet The Times. "They were terrifying moments I had in my life — I have PTSD to the extreme from those things. The most invasive situations. Really scary. And I pray stuff like that never comes back. It's not safe. It's not fair."

The actress added that she thinks the paparazzi's boundary-crossing obsession with celebrities has faded over the past two decades. "I feel that it doesn't happen as badly now as it did," Lohan said. "It was way worse when I was younger."

Lohan is grateful for the advent of social media, which she told The Times has allowed celebrities to take more control of their narratives. "Now, because of social media, people can tell their own story in the way that you want it to be told," she said. "It has reclaimed the ownership of your life."

She continued, "We didn't have that and so, no, I don't think anybody chose that life, but what I have learnt over time is how to separate my private life and public life, and that was difficult for me because nobody ever teaches you how to do that."

The Herbie Fully Loaded star admitted that she's almost oblivious to constant attention from passersby. "A lot of the time someone who is with me will notice someone filming. I think I've lived with it for so long it doesn't matter," she said. "But then, now, somebody will have a phone up all the time."

She added, "That's scary. That feels very uncomfortable. I'd rather someone just ask if they can take a photo or else you get cautious of every move you make."

Lohan also revealed what advice she would give to her younger self. "I would say, 'Slow down,'" she said. "Everybody back then was, 'Go! Go! Go!' I wish somebody could have been behind me saying, 'You're all right. You can slow down, kid.'"

The actress, who is now the mother of a 2-year-old son, told Entertainment Weekly in its recent Freakier Friday cover story that family remains her top priority when she chooses projects. "Everything I do is [about] what's going to work for my family," Lohan explained. "If something works around that, it's meant to happen. If it doesn't work around that, it's a no-go."

Lohan's focus on family made playing young star Julia Butters' fictional mother in Freakier Friday all the more meaningful. "I've never played a mom before on screen, so it's special to me," she told EW. "I played one in Labor Pains for a second at the very end, but you didn't see it."

Lohan also explained that when it came time to film the sequel, her maternal experience helped provide perspective she lacked while shooting 2003's Freaky Friday as a teenager.

"The closeness that you have with your child, and that bond — how irreplaceable that is, and wanting to do the right thing for your child — is always the most important thing in the world, and nothing can stand in the way of that," the actress said. "I also didn't have the calmness that a mother needs to have when a child is losing it."

Freakier Friday hits theaters Aug. 8.
