In between the North American and European legs of the Virgin Tour, Lorde made her way to Los Angeles for the LACMA Art+Film Gala—and took a piece of her on-stage wardrobe with her. Stepping up to the iconic Urban Light installation, the artist was photographed in a golden Versace ensemble with some special nods to her fourth studio album.

Pulled from Dario Vitale's Spring/Summer 2026 collection, the creative director's debut for the Italian label, Lorde's look was built around a sculptural gold bodice. Reminiscent of a piece of armor, the metallic top was designed with an off-the-shoulder neckline and organically curved hem, and constructed with a back center seam that gave the illusion of a spine—much like one of Lorde's x-ray images from her album art. The singer paired the piece with a long brown silk skirt for a drop-waist gown look, and let her dark hair fall in long waves.

Her jewelry, just as mesmerizing as her two-piece, featured chunky gold rings and a matching chain necklace, draped down her back with Versace's Medusa pendants and round beads. The cherry on top? She painted her fingers in shiny gold for a personal, Virgin touch.

Since its inaugural event back in 2011, the annual LACMA Gala has brought together the worlds of art, fashion, and entertainment to support the museum's goal of expanding their film programming, broadening their exhibitions, acquisitions, screenings, and education. This year saw the likes of Elle Fanning, Cynthia Erivo, Alex Consani, and mother-daughter duo Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber.
