However, that doesn't mean just anything you buy can be brought back in for your money back. Here are several items Costco won't let you return.

Cigarettes and Alcohol

You can indulge your vices at Costco quite easily, but don't expect to be able to return cigarettes and alcohol. Not only is this against store policy, but Costco also does not accept returns on cigarettes or alcohol because it is often prohibited by law based on location.

Tires

Tires might seem like a perfectly reasonable item to return, but much like shoes, once you take them out for a spin, they're yours. This is because they are no longer viable, as even a little bit of use enacts wear and tear.

So do your research before you buy tires to make sure you've got the correct ones for your car, because Costco won't take them back. In general, products with a limited useful life expectancy, such as tires and batteries, may be sold with a product-specific limited warranty.

Batteries

Speaking of batteries, though they power a variety of items in your home or office, it doesn't mean you recharge your card if you are unhappy with the purchase. Simply put, batteries don't last forever, and unless you have the original packaging, it's almost impossible to tell the age of a battery, and Costco doesn't want to resell duds.

Costco doesn't bother risking it — you can't bring these back. As a Costco customer, make sure to purchase product-specific warranties to cover purchases that come with batteries, so you're covered if there's a problem.

Paper Products

It should be pretty obvious that toilet paper and paper towels, items that interact with people's bodies, are not a welcome item for return. However, since people buy these items in bulk, they may think they can return the unused portions. Alas, Costco doesn't want your extra paper products. If you have too much, donate them to a shelter or a school instead.

Rotten Food (or Any Perishable Items)

What seems obvious to some people is clearly not to others, as more than once a customer has tried to return food that has spoiled at Costco. Not food they discovered was rotten immediately after purchase, either, but food they let rot at home — such as old stinky salmon and a moldy bag of oranges.

Don't be that person who makes the Costco employees question whether you have common sense. Yes, food costs are skyrocketing thanks to tariffs and economic volatility, but unfortunately, sometimes life just gives you rotten lemons.

Used Underwear

Some things really shouldn't have to be spelled out. You may be able to return some used items, but logic and common courtesy should be enough to know that used underwear is not among them. Yet that's what someone reportedly tried to do once — with a 7-year-old pair!

Soap

It's natural to be picky about the kind of soap you use, as soaps can vary in texture, viscosity, scent and more. What may look great in the packaging may smell or feel weird when you finally get it home and try it out.

Nevertheless, Costco isn't too concerned about your soap preferences. If you bought it, you keep it; no returns allowed.

Diamonds, One Carat or Larger

While Costco does have a 90-day jewelry return policy, so long as the jewelry is in good condition, there is one exception. If you want to return diamonds larger than one carat, you need to have all the paperwork it came with, and your receipt, or it's a no-go. Even then, you only get store credit, not a full refund, so purchase your bling wisely.

According to Costco's return policy, "Members returning a diamond over 1.00ct must also present all original paperwork (IGI and/or GIA certificates) at which time they will receive a Jewelry Credit Memo. Within 48 hours, our Costco Graduate Gemologist will inspect for authenticity."

In general, Costco's customer service offers a generous return policy that comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee on most items if returned within 90 days. It allows returns anytime with a few exceptions, including non-refundable items like gift cards and cigarettes.

You can return items to any warehouse with your membership card, and while a receipt helps, it's often not necessary since purchases are tracked on your account. Online purchases can also be returned in-store or online via your Costco account.

Bianca Del Rio and Adore Delano are one of the most iconic mother-daughter pairings in all of pop culture history, but the adorable spark that eventually ignited between them nearly set the entire *RuPaul's Drag Race* set ablaze during the first few days of filming.

The season 6 icons stopped by the latest episode of *EW's BINGE* podcast, where Delano revealed to hosts Joey Nolfi and Jillian Sederholm that, despite their love for each other now, she initially asked the crew to maintain distance between them.

"I remember telling the producers to keep Bianca away from me because I hated her," Delano reveals as Del Rio cackles in the background. "We didn't meet each other until the second day. I've never been wrong about my winners. I'm obsessed with the show, I always clock them.... as soon as I met Bianca, I was like, 'F—, Goddammit, she's winning!'"

The pair quickly became fan favorites across what's typically regarded as one of the best seasons in *Drag Race* history, and their friendship has since grown after the cameras stopped rolling. Hungry viewers, however, have often called for Del Rio — whom RuPaul ultimately crowned as America's Next Drag Superstar back in 2014 — to return to the set for a long-speculated winner's season, though the whip-smart comedian says such a comeback is unlikely.

"It's a different element," Del Rio observes of the show's evolution, as the Emmy-winning series has skewed its aesthetic toward a younger — yet no less spectacular — crop of queens in recent years, who've amassed large social media followings prior to competing. "First of all and foremost, I'll say it here, no one has ever officially asked me from [production company] World of Wonder.... in interviews I've always said no. Why would I go back to [the training ground of] high school? There's a reason each person won their season. It's a different vehicle. I don't think I'd be cast, I don't think I'd be interested in doing it now, because the game has changed... It's just a different world. So rather than saying I don't get it because I'm old, I'll say it's not for me! I don't think I'd survive this time around!"

Coca-Cola is "unwrapping" a new limited-edition holiday flavor for the first time in five years.

The company is releasing a new limited-edition Coca-Cola Holiday Creamy Vanilla flavor that offers "a festive twist on the classic taste that delivers comfort, refreshment and seasonal joy – just in time for the holidays."

Coca-Cola, in a news release, said its new flavor "is a delicious taste of Coca-Cola infused with smooth, creamy vanilla flavors that capture the joy of the season."

While Coca-Cola's new Holiday Creamy Vanilla will maintain the classic Coke packaging, its new flavor will come in bottles and cans that "authentically emulate (the) smooth flavors" with creamy vanilla-inspired colors, the company said.

How to get Coke's new holiday flavor

Coke's newest flavor will be available starting Nov. 3 in 12-ounce 12-packs and 20-ounce bottles at retailers across the United States and Canada or online at coca-cola.com.

A special 2-liter bottle, in the full sugar variant only, will also be available as a Walmart exclusive, the company said.

Microsoft has entered into a $9.7 billion cloud services contract with artificial intelligence cloud service provider IREN that will give it access to some of Nvidia's chips.

The five-year deal, which includes a 20% prepayment, will help Microsoft as it looks to keep up with AI demand. Last week the software maker reported its quarterly sales grew 18% to $77.7 billion, beating Wall Street expectations while also surprising some investors with the huge amounts of money it is spending to expand its cloud computing infrastructure and address the growing need for AI tools.

Microsoft spent nearly $35 billion in the July-September quarter on capital expenditures to support AI and cloud demand, nearly half of that on computer chips and much of the rest related to data center real estate.

"IREN's expertise in building and operating a fully integrated AI cloud — from data centers to GPU stack — combined with their secured power capacity makes them a strategic partner," Jonathan Tinter, president of business development and ventures at Microsoft, said in a statement. "This collaboration unlocks new growth opportunities for both companies and the customers we serve."

Microsoft also announced new deal with OpenAI last week that pushed the Redmond, Washington, company to $4 trillion in valuation for the second time this year. The agreement gives the software giant a roughly 27% stake in OpenAI's new for-profit corporation but changes some of the details of their close partnership. Microsoft's $135 billion stake will be just ahead of the OpenAI nonprofit's $130 billion stake in the for-profit company.

IREN also said Monday that it signed a deal with Dell Technologies to buy the chips and ancillary equipment for about $5.8 billion. The Australian company anticipates the chips being deployed in phases through next year at its Childress, Texas campus.

Shares of IREN jumped 22% before the opening bell in the U.S. Shares of Microsoft rose slightly,.

(Reuters) -Cisco Systems launched a computing device on Monday that will run artificial intelligence workloads at local entities such as retail stores, factory floors and healthcare facilities, speeding up their AI data processing capabilities.

The new platform, named "Cisco Unified Edge," is an attempt to bring AI infrastructure closer to where the data is created - on shop and factory floors, for example - as traditional data centers become overburdened with complex commands, especially as agentic and reasoning models drive up network traffic.

The Cisco platform features an Intel chip and has seen an early adopter in Verizon. It is expected to be generally available by the end of the year.

Tech firms have committed tens of billions of dollars to expand their data center operations to accommodate the soaring use of AI models.

"As AI agents and experiences proliferate, they will naturally emerge closer to where customers interact and decisions are made – the branch office, retail store, factory floor, stadium, and more," said Cisco's Chief Product Officer Jeetu Patel.

Pat Boone shared a rare photo of himself and his daughters. On Nov. 2, the legendary singer posted to Instagram after spending the day with his daughters Cherry Lynn, Linda Lee, Debby, and Laury. The famous clan posed on the stairway of their longtime family home in Beverly Hills, with Papa Boone, 91, all smiles right in front.

"My four beautiful daughters came for a visit today to the house we've called home for 65 years," Boone captioned the photo. "Lots of stories, memories, and laughter. I'm a very proud daddy."

Fans and famous friends reacted to the post in the comment section, with one describing the photo as a "very special Daddy, Daughters picture." Others told Boone how "blessed" he was.

"Beautiful family ❤️❤️❤️," wrote pal Nancy Sinatra.

Boone married his wife, Shirley Foley, in 1953, and they welcomed their four daughters between 1954 and 1960. Shirley died at home in 2019 at age 84, surrounded by her family, according to People magazine.

Boone has been outspoken about his family life and how strict he was when he raised his daughters in the 1960s and '70s. In June, he shared a Facebook post for Father's Day as he looked back on his life as a dad of four girls and the set of "rules" he created when they were teenagers.

"Father's Day brings up a lot of memories," he wrote. "Imagine raising four teenage daughters at once! That's when we started the Pat Boone Family Act, so I could keep an eye on them, and we could sing together as a family."

"I'll never forget when we were on the Merv Griffin Show," the singer added. "He asked my girls what I was strictest about. One of them said, 'Respect.' The audience actually applauded. Cherry, our oldest, later said, 'Yes, we're missing out. We're missing out on trouble.' That moment stayed with me. I'm proud of that. I'm thankful for the home Shirley and I built and the values we shared with our girls."

In a 2024 interview with Baltimore Media Blog, Boone's daughter Debby—the most famous of the four sisters due to her 1977 hit song "You Light Up My Life"— revealed that her parents' "mission" was to keep their childhoods "as normal as possible."

When asked how she stayed "grounded" after having a massive solo hit when she was still a teenager, Debby told Closer Weekly, "Well, I was still living at home. My mom would say, 'You haven't cleaned the cat box in four days. Get upstairs.'"

The princess revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 and confirmed she was undergoing chemotherapy at the time.

By January 2025, the Princess of Wales was in remission.

"It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focused on recovery," she wrote in a statement shared on social media. (Reuters) -Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Monday the Trump administration would shutter the U.S. aviation system if he thought an ongoing government shutdown was making it unsafe to travel.

"If we thought that it was unsafe... we'll shut the whole airspace down. We won't let people travel. We're not there at this point. It's just significant delays," Duffy told CNBC, adding "absolutely there's more risk" during the ongoing shutdown.

Kenny Chesney's storytelling flair is woven into all of his songs.

But now the country music titan is telling a different story, the one about his life and how a kid from East Tennessee obsessed with sports evolved into a stadium-selling megastar behind smashes including "Beer in Mexico," "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and "I Go Back."

Chesney's book, "Heart Life Music" ( William Morrow/HarperCollins, Nov. 4), cowritten with music journalist Holly Gleason, also gives fans a peek into some of his experiences with idols and peers, such as George Jones and Jimmy Buffett.

"This book is full of surprises, full of moments I couldn't have imagined, so living them with me is something I wanted to share," Chesney told USA TODAY in an email. "But it's also, I hope, an honest look at how one builds a dream; it's the setbacks, the frustration, the small moves that add up and a reminder that hard work, fighting for great songs and not letting go is so critical."

Kenny Chesney's "Heart Life Music" includes stories of his adventures with George Jones and Jimmy Buffett. The book is out Nov. 4, 2025.

Chesney will visit with fans on a book tour from Nov. 1 to Nov. 16, with stops in cities including Boston, Chicago, Nashville and Miami.

In an exclusive excerpt from the book, Chesney shares the story behind "Boston," from his 2005 album "Be As You Are (Songs from an Old Blue Chair)."

He told USA TODAY that he chose this segment to highlight because of its significance to his songwriting.

"It was such a perfect slice of that time when things were shifting and I was finding my authentic self. I'd had success, but it wasn't connecting – and it's when I started drawing on real life that the pieces fell together," Chesney said. "It shows how songs literally rise up out of your life, that something people listen to in their car came out of moments that actually happened. To me, that's where and how No Shoes Nation was built: common realities we all have."

Starting in 1998, it seemed eight out of every ten girls I met in the Virgin Islands were from New England. Whether the bars, restaurants or on boats, those accents you can't miss.

Having some local friends, I could hang out and run into someone I knew. I kept seeing this one bartender. She wore a Red Sox cap backwards, and you could she had these baby dreadlocks peeking out from under it. Didn't matter when or where I saw her, she always had that Boston cap on.

You never know why something strikes you. Someone's spark, a random detail catches your imagination.

I was in the middle of writing the "Be As You Are" album, though I didn't know it yet.

I had these songs that didn't have a place on my commercial records, but they were talking to each other. More authentically me than anything I'd ever done, I kept writing.

All that was whirling around my head one night when Mark Tamburino started playing this guitar part. It had a real groove, with a melody inside it that felt good. I was in my bunk thinking about that bartender, about a lot of stories I'd heard from my friends down there. That groove started circling around my head, the beats dropping just so…

In a bunk on a bus rolling down the highway, "Boston" started to take shape.

I had no idea how far that song would travel. I only knew it was an authentic truth about that bartender, but so many other people in the islands.

Writing these songs, the people came with me.

Even when I wasn't there, the islands colored my writing. Scheduled to play the University of Texas' Frank Erwin Center in 2003, a freak ice storm cancelled our show. Trapped, because the roads were too icy to travel, Tim (Holt), Daryl (Hobby) and I were stuck.

"Somewhere in the Sun" fell out of that frozen – literally and metaphorically – moment in time. Trapped in a Holiday Inn parking lot, on our buses and these old hotel rooms, songs emerged. I started describing where we were: the bad room service, the TV with only "Andy Griffith" and "Barney," because the cable was knocked out.

Whatever channel we could get, there was an ad for Cancun that kept airing. I could feel the melody as I writing it all down. Danny Tucker, my bus driver at the time, threw out the toast that became the bridge, so he was co-writer on the song, too.

A love letter to the people and places I was discovering, you can hear the pull of this other life. Some people thought I was recharging, but it was more opening up and letting go. There's a quiet you need to hear your soul, something you can't do when there's a bunch of buses and trucks, people needing answers.

The answers I needed were found in hidden bars only the locals and sailors knew.

Inside the Off-Screen Drama on Stranger Things' Final Season

A trailer for the long-awaited return of Stranger Things dropped Thursday, but the buzz was quickly eclipsed by unsettling reports from set.

The show's star, Millie Bobby Brown, reportedly filed a complaint before production on the Netflix series began last January, accusing co-star David Harbour of "bullying and harassment."

The fifth and final season — an eight-episode run that reportedly cost Netflix more than $400 million — is expected to bring the hit sci-fi series to a close after nearly a decade on air. The upcoming installment has been billed as the show's most ambitious yet, with creators Matt and Ross Duffer promising an emotional farewell to the residents of Hawkins. But according to reports, production may have been overshadowed by off-screen tensions between two of its biggest stars.

An unnamed source told The Daily Mail that Brown's filing included "pages and pages of accusations" and led to a months-long internal investigation that has been kept tightly under wraps. The source also noted that "the allegations did not include claims of sexual impropriety." The outlet did not specify when the investigation began or whether it has since concluded.

Harbour plays Jim Hopper, the gruff but lovable former police chief of Hawkins, who becomes guardian to Brown's character, Eleven — a telekinetic child test subject whose coming-of-age story lies at the emotional center of the show. Their on-screen relationship, evolving from mistrust to deep mutual care, has been one of Stranger Things' most enduring storylines.

In 2021, Harbour spoke about the bond he'd formed with Brown after years of working together, noting that he felt protective of her as she navigated fame at a young age. "Millie and I have always had sort of a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young," he said on a 2021 episode of the That Scene with Dan Patrick podcast. "I have a real protective feeling for her. I worry about her and the fame and all that she has to struggle with."

But off screen, that dynamic may have become more strained in recent years: Brown allegedly had a personal representative with her on set during filming for the final season, reportedly as a precaution amid the investigation and to ensure a safe working environment.

Netflix, Brown, and Harbour have not publicly commented on the reports.

The allegations come at a turbulent time for Harbour, whose personal life has also been under intense scrutiny. The 50-year-old actor recently finalized his split from British singer Lily Allen after four years of marriage. Allen released her new album West End Girl in October, which includes songs many fans interpret as alluding to the breakdown of their relationship. In one standout track, "Madeline," she sings, "We had an arrangement / Be discreet and don't be blatant / There had to be payment / It had to be with strangers / But you're not a stranger, Madeline." The lyrics have drawn widespread attention for their raw portrayal of infidelity and emotional fallout. In an interview with The Times of London, Allen said the titular character is fictional — and confirmed when asked that she's "a construct of others," rather than a direct reflection of one real person.

Still, sources close to the situation have clarified that the on-set allegations involving Brown are not believed to be connected to Harbour's divorce from Allen. "Lily supported him throughout it all," a source told The Daily Mail. "It was a brutal time."

Netflix remains tight-lipped about the investigation and its fallout. For now, fans will have to wait to see how Stranger Things ends — and whether the real-life tension behind it proves just as dramatic as what happens on screen.

Just as the Los Angeles Dodgers finished turning a game-ending double play to win the World Series, folks were already talking about a three-peat.

The Dodgers didn't get a lot of time to celebrate before being installed as favorites to win the 2026 World Series after outlasting the Blue Jays in a highly entertaining seven-game World Series. Los Angeles won the finale, 5-4 in 11 innings on Saturday night in Toronto.

Los Angeles defeated the New York Yankees in the 2024 World Series and oddsmakers favor a rematch in the 2026 Fall Classic.

FanDuel and BetMGM each have the Dodgers at +350 to win the 2026 World Series. The Yankees are second at both sportsbooks -- +700 at FanDuel and +750 at BetMGM.

Los Angeles figures to have a solid chance at becoming the first team since the Yankees (1998-2000) to win three straight World Series crowns.

National League MVP candidate Shohei Ohtani is in the prime of his career as a hitter and will get more work as a starting pitcher since he won't be coming off a major arm injury. Players like Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Will Smith (game-winning homer in Game 7) will again be main cogs and World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow will join Ohtani in a strong rotation.

The Yankees will again be led by American League MVP candidate Aaron Judge and the lineup figures to include Giancarlo Stanton and Jazz Chisholm. Gerrit Cole is expected to return from a major arm injury in May to join a rotation that includes Max Fried and Carlos Rodon.

FanDuel rates the Philadelphia Phillies (+1000) and New York Mets (+1100) as National League teams who could dethrone the Dodgers. BetMGM has the Phillies at +1100 and the Mets at +1400.

In the AL, FanDuel rates the Seattle Mariners (+1200) and Houston Astros (+1300) as strong candidates to reach the World Series. Seattle might need AL MVP candidate Cal Raleigh to have another historic season to make that happen. BetMGM has both teams at +1300.

Looking for a team getting little respect? How about the Blue Jays, who took a lead into the ninth inning of Game 7 before ultimately losing. Toronto is just +2000 by both entities.

Some of that might be due to the possibility that star shortstop Bo Bichette could leave as a free agent. But Vladimir Guerrero Jr. isn't going anywhere and George Springer is one of the top clutch hitters in postseason history.

Also worth noting, Toronto was lightly respected entering the 2025 season. FanDuel listed the Blue Jays at +6600.

The Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox and Washington Nationals have the longest odds at +50000.
