**This article contains spoilers about the *Peacemaker* season 2 finale, "Full Nelson."****

*Peacemaker*'s Quantum Unfolding Chamber holds an infinite number of doors leading to alternate dimensions, and creator James Gunn wanted one of those doors to reach all the way from DC Comics to rival company — and his former employer — Marvel.

The showrunner/executive producer/writer/director revealed in a press conference on Thursday that he tried to get *Deadpool* star Ryan Reynolds to make a cameo in the season 2 finale as his Marvel merc with a mouth.

"I wanted them to open the door and see Deadpool in a room," Gunn says. "And I talked to Ryan Reynolds about it. But I think we would've had to go through some pretty big hoops to do that."

Gunn laughs as he adds, "He wanted to do it! That's all anybody's going to talk about now, is f---ing Deadpool in the other room. I should have never said it."

While Gunn was unable to make his DC-Marvel crossover dream come true, he was able to sneak in a very different surprise cameo, as one of the A.R.G.U.S. agents in the finale is *The Bachelor* alum Jared Haibon.

"That is! It's Jared," Gunn confirms. "Yeah, Jared's a guy I know. So my friend Elan Gale ran *The Bachelor* for years, and I knew Jared through him. He is a huge Superman fan, and so when we were shooting, he came down and appeared in the scene. I'm like, 'Hey, let's put you in there.' But that whole thing with the cocaine was improv. I didn't tell him he was going to be doing cocaine."

Haibon appears in multiple scenes in the finale in the relative safety of the A.R.G.U.S. office, monitoring the field teams exploring the many different doorways in the QUC. At one point, he leans down to snort a line of cocaine with former LuthorCorp scientist Sydney Happersen (Stephen Blackehart), as they party while the field agents risk their lives checking out different, deadly alternate dimensions.

The search was ultimately Rick Flag Sr.'s (Frank Grillo) mission to find a suitable prison world to send metahumans, including Peacemaker (John Cena) himself, in a story inspired by the *Salvation Run *comics. The finale ends on a cliffhanger, as Peacemaker finds himself stranded alone on a dangerous planet that Flag named Salvation.

He probably should have named the new prison world Damnation instead.
