The Atlanta-based, genre-bending country BoykinZ quartet – comprised of sisters Kylan, 23, Anale, 22, Nytere, 20, and Alona, 18 –grew up watching America's Got Talent. So on Tuesday night when they had the chance to take the stage and perform, it meant the world to them.
And what made it even more special for the ladies was the fact that this season Mel B is a judge, and they had the chance to meet her backstage. After their rendezvous, Anale revealed, "I have a doll. I have a Mel B doll."
And her older sister Nytere pointed out, "It was my doll, but she has it."
"Growing up, the Spice Girls was one of our influences," Kylan explained. "We love a group of women that celebrated their individuality. It's the same thing we bring to our band. We want little girls to look at our band and go, 'We love her because of this and we love her because of that,' and they can see themselves in us. That's what the Spice Girls did for us."

While the band's dream is to win a Grammy and to headline its own tour, for now, they'd be happy to win America's Got Talent. The fact that the audience chanted for them to win a Golden Buzzer and the fact that host Terry Crews gave it to them definitely means it's a possibility, because they are guaranteed a spot in the Live Shows.
The BoykinZ took the stage with their original song, "Fell in Love with a Cowboy." And backstage you could hear Terry say, "It's like The Supremes meet country."
Howie Mandel was the first judge to chat them up after their audience-rousing performance. "Is that an original song?" he asked, and when he got an affirmative answer, said, "Wow! I love the blending of country music and rhythm and harmony. I think we're watching the blast off of a brand-new career."

Mel B felt the energy was infectious. She said, "Sofia, you and me got on our feet."
Sofia Vergara said, "That was spectacular, the outfits, the songs, the voices, the energy. It looks like you have worked hard for this. I think people in America are going to love you."
Then Simon Cowell added, "When I watch some of these shows back, the most annoying thing is when you hear people over and over again saying 'You're going to be a star.' Well, let me tell you something, you're going to be stars. This was almost a perfect audition, seriously."
Then it was back to Mel B, who told the ladies, "The way that your synergies and harmonies, you are beyond, honestly. You have just blown this out of the water for me."
The audience began chanting for a Golden Buzzer, but Mel B said, "I don't have a Golden Buzzer." She had already used her two for the season. Then she turned to Howie. "I dare you, please."
While Howie was trying to ask BoykinZ a question, Terry Crews ran down to the judges' table and he gave them his second Golden Buzzer of the season. This marked a first for the host. Last season, even though the judges got a second Golden Buzzer, Terry still only had one.
"Boykin family, this audience asked for a Golden Buzzer," Terry said, "and I'm going to give you one right now."
America's Got Talent airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
