On Sunday, Aug. 3, Hailey, 28, shared a new snap of their baby boy on her Instagram ahead of his first birthday.

In the photo, Jack could be seen wearing a neon yellow ribbed vest and matching yellow leggings as he sat on some grass while showing off his blonde locks.

"summer things part I," the Rhode founder captioned the carousel post, while Justin, 31, added in the comments section, "🙌."

As well as a new shot of Jack, the post also featured various snaps of Hailey's summer, including a selfie of herself sporting a low-cut cropped halter and a new piece of jewelry dedicated to her son.

The sweet personalized necklace features a gold chain with Jack's name spelled out in sparkling gold letters.

Hailey wore minimal makeup in the photo, teaming her red top with a pair of light blue jeans as she lay in what appeared to be a meadow.

She and Justin welcomed Jack Blues on Aug. 22, 2024, and announced his birth a day later.

"WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER," Justin wrote in an Instagram post at the time, while Hailey posted the same photo to her Instagram Stories soon afterwards with his name and a teddy bear and blue heart emoji.

Hailey's new bling for her baby boy comes after she showed off another necklace dedicated to her little one back in October.

In a photo dump on Instagram, the mom of one wore a gold chain with "JBB" arranged in bubbly letter pendants encrusted with silver gemstones.

Days before her latest Instagram post, Hailey shared an Instagram Stories post detailing the items she "couldn't live without" during her pregnancy and postpartum period as Jack Blues nears his first birthday.

In the actual NFL draft, NFL teams always want the No. 1 overall pick. In fantasy football drafts, the desire of fantasy managers varies.

Some prefer to have the top selection, as it gives them their preferred target atop the draft. Others would rather draft near the end of the snake and get an earlier pick in the second round.

As such, the No. 1 overall fantasy pick can be viewed as either a blessing or a curse. But either way, fantasy managers need to make sure they get the pick right. If they don't, their roster depth will suffer as a result.

Who are the best options for the top fantasy selection this season? Below is a look at the only five players fantasy football managers should consider taking atop the draft, starting with a running back who was a league-winner for many last season.

2025 POSITION RANKINGS: QB | RB | WR | TE | K | D/ST | Overall

No. 1 pick options in fantasy football1. Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Barkley was the top fantasy running back last year as he generated just the ninth 2,000-yard rushing season in NFL history. He figures to once again be a highly productive runner after averaging 3.8 yards before contact per carry — a whopping 0.5 yards better than any other running back — behind a stellar Philadelphia offensive line.

The only concern with Barkley? He had a league-high 378 touches during the regular season and added another 104 to his ledger in the postseason. Since 2010, running backs with at least 337 touches in a season have seen an average decline of 113.9 PPR points, and 3.9 fewer PPR points per game, the following season.

2. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Chase won the receiving Triple Crown in 2024, leading the league in catches (127), yards (1,708) and touchdowns (17). He could certainly do it again, given the chemistry he has shown with long-time teammate Joe Burrow and the Bengals' high-volume passing attack.

Receiver production is generally more consistent year-to-year than running back production, so few would fault anyone for taking Chase No. 1 overall, especially in PPR leagues. But in half-PPR or standard formats, it is difficult to pass on a high-end running back given how quickly top-tier talents at the position come off the board in snake drafts.

3. Bijan Robinson, RB, Atlanta Falcons

Only two running backs had more catches than Robinson's 61 in 2024: De'Von Achane (78) and Alvin Kamara (68). That gives Robinson one of the highest PPR floors among fantasy running backs, and his on-the-ground production (1,456 yards, 14 touchdowns) is nothing to sneeze at, either.

Like Barkley, Robinson surpassed the dreaded 337-touch mark in 2024 with 365. Robinson, 23, is much younger than the 28-year-old Barkley, which might aid him in avoiding a decline. However, he also plays in a more volatile offense that will be entrusting second-year QB Michael Penix Jr. as a full-time starter for the first time.

4. Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Detroit Lions

Gibbs showed fantasy managers his potential as a workhorse over the final three weeks of the 2024 NFL season. With David Montgomery out, Gibbs averaged 25.7 touches and 162.3 total yards per game while scoring six total touchdowns.

While Gibbs' ceiling is that of the No. 1 overall fantasy running back, Montgomery still figures to eat into his workload. Montgomery's size (5-11, 224 pounds) will likely make him Dan Campbell's preferred goal-line option. That might limit Gibbs' upside, but it's worth noting he had the fewest touches (302) among the consensus top-three fantasy running backs for 2025.

5. Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings

Jefferson has only once finished worse than the No. 6-rated wide receiver in fantasy. That came in 2023, when he played just 10 games because of a hamstring injury. As long as Jefferson remains healthy, he should be one of the best fantasy football wide receivers, which puts him in the running for the No. 1 overall pick.

Still, Jefferson seems more likely to be an early-to-mid first-round selection. The Vikings are breaking in a first-year starter at quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, so any early growing pains could impact Jefferson out of the gate. So, too, could a mild hamstring strain that is keeping Jefferson out of the early stages of Minnesota's training camp.

This should be an exhilarating moment for college tennis.

Wimbledon featured a record 26 current or former college players in men's singles and nine more in the women's draw. TCU's Jack Pinnington Jones and San Diego's Oliver Tarvet, who reached the second round, played for their college teams just this spring. Ben Shelton, a 2022 NCAA singles champion at Florida, reached the quarterfinals.

All of this is occurring as the threat of elimination faces numerous tennis programs.

According to the International Tennis Association, which governs college tennis, schools dropping tennis since 2024 includes Central Arkansas (women), Eastern Illinois (men and women), Lindenwood (men), Louisiana-Monroe (women), Radford (men and women), St. Francis College (men and women), San Francisco (men and women), Seattle (men) and UTEP (women).

Former San Francisco men's player Asaf Friedler noted the Dons hadn't even finished the 2024 season when the athletic director emailed about a meeting the following day, where they learned the program would be dropped in a matter of weeks.

Friedler remembers players crying at practice later that day. He said a recruit had committed to San Francisco just a couple of days before the announcement, a sign that even coaches were caught off guard.

"We were all like in shock," Friedler said. "We didn't know what to say. We looked at each other and we were very confused."

On the line

During the pandemic, nearly two dozen men's or women's tennis programs were eliminated. But the latest cuts come as colleges across the country deal with the hard choices and financial realities of the $2.8 billion House settlement. Revenue sharing tends to favor football and basketball, and there are roster caps. The calculations are different for each school.

David Mullins, CEO of the ITA, says college tennis is a great pathway to the pros.

"Our position within the tennis industry has never been better," Mullins said. "But on the other side, we're dealing with all these things happening with the NCAA model. Probably the challenges that we're facing from the collegiate side domestically have never been greater."

Louisiana-Monroe athletic director John Hartwell noted schools opting into the settlement must sponsor at least 16 sports. Louisiana-Monroe had 17 sports before eliminating women's tennis.

"Probably a factor for some folks is the squad size, that probably has something to do with it," Hartwell said. "Facilities are a challenge, too. I think those are probably key components. But I also think a lot of these schools that have more than required 16 sports are analyzing everything cost-wise."

Cutting tennis saved Louisiana-Monroe about $250,000. Hartwell said the scholarship funds that went to tennis now will be directed toward the school's other women's teams.

Roster size also leaves tennis vulnerable. Dropping a different sport with more team members leaves more athletes disappointed.

"When you're cutting a sport, it's not a fun position to be in," Central Arkansas athletic director Matt Whiting said. "You have to factor in numbers in those situations. (Tennis) certainly has a smaller roster."

Schools that eliminate tennis programs generally allow players to remain on scholarship throughout their time at the school. Many choose to transfer, searching for a new school while adjusting to a new country. Mullins estimates about 60% of the players on Division I teams generally come from outside the U.S.

Alex Aldaz, who is from Spain and played for Eastern Illinois this year, said his team got the news after the season already had ended and many of them were already back in their home countries.

"Their faces were like they didn't know how to react," Aldaz said. "They were lost... sad and angry."

Aldaz is now at Mercer. Friedler, who is from Israel, played for Tulane this past season. Many of their former teammates at their original schools weren't as fortunate.

Searching for solutions

Many college tennis programs don't have facilities on campus, forcing them to rent local courts. Whiting said Central Arkansas had a facility on campus that required an estimated $1.5 million to $2 million in repairs. Hartwell said Louisiana-Monroe's tennis facility needed about $750,000 in improvements.

Mullins said the U.S. Tennis Association has offered grants to colleges opening full-service tennis centers to foster the sport's growth in their communities. Those schools then can make money by renting out their courts when their teams aren't using them.

South Carolina is the latest school to attempt this, hiring Dainyell Fox as the Carolina Tennis Center's operations manager within the past year. Fox has started organizing tennis lessons and classes while also exploring other potential revenue options.

"Our goal isn't going to necessarily put us completely in the black, but it reduces the financial footprint of men's and women's tennis," South Carolina deputy athletic director Judy Van Horn said.

The list of former Gamecocks includes Francisco Cerundolo, who is in the top 25 of the ATP rankings. Just as a growing number of former major-conference players succeed on the pro circuit, the struggle to survive is real for plenty of smaller programs.

"Our position is strengthened with each passing Grand Slam," Mullins said. "But on the other side, we have all these challenges here domestically that we're not able to control."

Lesnar wasn't listed as a defendant and wasn't charged with a crime. He hasn't commented on the lawsuit.

The moment stunned the WWE Universe as it has felt like a very long time since Lesnar was seen in WWE circles. He hasn't faced Cena since a triple-threat match with him and Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble 2015 and not in a singles match since Night of Champions 2014.

The summer of 2025 is severely lacking in "Espresso."

Gone are the sweaty days when "Not Like Us" lit up parties nationwide, uniting Drake dissers everywhere. There are manchildren and daisies and animated anthems from "KPop Demon Hunters," but nothing that's made as big of a cultural dent as "Birds of a Feather" or anything from "Brat."

There is no song of the summer this year. And if there is, it's probably a bummer.

The top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 are occupied largely by downers. At No. 1, Alex Warren's vaguely Christian ballad "Ordinary" is best suited for a quiet study session, not a raucous party. Morgan Wallen, fresh from God's country, can't feign enthusiasm on his recent half-baked singles. Even pop prince Justin Bieber is keeping it low-key on his new album, which relies on sparse, downbeat guitars. (This, coming from one of the men behind 2017's song of the summer, "Despacito.")

And then, if the most popular songs in the country aren't somewhat dour or mellow to a fault, they're holdovers from 2024 (or older). This year, it seems we left pop bombast in 2024.

"We're coming off a huge wave of amazing stuff," said Mike Errico, a songwriter and instructor at New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. "A lot of what 2025 has come out with — they're kind of down, kind of low energy. It's good, but it's not going to light up a room."

The state of the song of the summer is in crisis. There's still time to find a definitive song that unites both snobs and casual listeners — Sabrina Carpenter's new album arrives at the end of August, after all — but so far, the song of summer 2025 is one long sigh.

2024 was just special

Last summer, we met exciting new pop stars like Chappell Roan. Underdogs like Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter, who worked steadily for years as cult favorites, finally broke out. And maybe you heard that two of the most famous women in the world — Taylor Swift, Beyoncé — released projects last year?

"2024 was exceptional," Errico said. "I don't think you see that a lot — really humongous hits, with insanely long lives on the charts."

This year's popular new music has been decidedly downbeat, with ballads and ponderous country songs topping the charts, Errico said. Even Bieber's "Daisies," charting high in the weeks after its release, is relatively pared back for the one-time collaborator of fiery artists like Skrillex and Quavo.

"A lot of stuff was low energy," Errico said of this year's new music. "It's good for dim rooms, but I don't think that's associated with the 'song of the summer.'"

Ideally, a song of the summer is "bright, poppy, upbeat," Errico said — a celebration in miniature that's easy to dance along to. It's a song that won't grate even when you hear it one million times over one summer. This year "did not deliver that," he said.

"Maybe we shot our bullets in 2024 all at once," he said.

This summer's most popular songs aren't new

"Do we need a song of the summer to be brand spankin' new?" Errico pondered. "Can it be something from, oh, 10 months ago?"

Release dates haven't held back some of the year's most popular songs from continuing to soar. Four of the top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 were released in 2024, including Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," a scrappy, easily singable country song that's been charting for over a year, and "Luther," Kendrick Lamar's laid-back jam with SZA.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' 2024 dulcet duet "Die with a Smile" has survived for nearly a year in the top 10 — meanwhile, the spiky, danceable cuts from Gaga's new album "Mayhem" have disappeared. (There's also Teddy Swims' inexplicably popular "Lose Control," which is now over two years old.)

"I think it speaks to the power of 2024, that they're still on the charts in 2025," Errico said. "Maybe 2024 isn't over yet."

Songs with cultural clout aren't charting

There is a type of song that makes less of a dent upon arrival but winds up defining the summer, like "360," "Guess" and "Apple" from Charli XCX's "Brat."

This year, that slot appears to be filled by PinkPantheress' "Illegal," which has soundtracked over a million TikToks and counting. It slid off the charts fairly quickly after its May release, but it fills the earworm quotient, and it's the rare viral hit that hasn't yet worn out its welcome. Also in contention are songs from burgeoning pop star and original TikTok idol Addison Rae and Ravyn Lenae, whose "Love Me Not" is a rare bouncy gem in the top 10.

"You're not seeing (these songs) en masse, but maybe that's better," Errico said of the cult hits. "Maybe not everyone should be invited to a single party. Maybe we should have different parties with different playlists that reflect a smaller but more dedicated group of people."

It's possible that when we look back at this summer a year from now, older songs will spring to mind, Errico offered. The CEO kiss-cam meltdown at a Coldplay concert in July became one of the summer's biggest stories, and fans may remember the moment set to "The Scientist" or "Fix You." Ozzy Osbourne's death has already prompted fans to revisit his greatest hits, like the karaoke barn-burner "Crazy Train."

Or maybe, Errico suggested, the song of the summer is one that best exemplifies the quickening encroachment of AI into creative fields, like AI band Velvet Sundown's AI song, "Dust on the Wind." Even the title sounds like a Fleetwood Mac-inspired ChatGPT prompt.

Is the song of the summer dead?

This fruitless search for the song of the summer has made Errico wonder, do we even need one this year? The songs of 2024 are already tiding us over.

"Maybe music needed this minute to chill," he said. "Let's let everybody digest it and come back strong next summer."

Maybe we'll get back to the good stuff in summer 2026. Or maybe late entries like Carpenter; Tyler, The Creator and Chappell Roan (whose new song is a ballad) could run away with the season — or the year.

After all, Errico said: "A good song is good for longer than the summer."

Through training and different certifications, Pearl became the organization's first therapy horse. Since Nodiff-Netanel's father was a veteran, she decided the first place she wanted to visit was the local veterans hospital in California.

"Now, at the VA, we've been in the intensive care unit. We run a program in the lockdown psychiatric ward with the horses, which is rewarding for these veterans. A lot of them are homeless, they're addicts. They're going through a lot," she shares.

"The horses have an extremely calming effect. With the horse, we work together on social, emotional and spiritual behaviors."

"When someone's hugging a horse, everybody becomes very quiet. It allows people to make that emotional and spiritual connection. It really helps," she adds. "Sometimes kids or adults will talk to the horses or cry with the horses, hug the horses, things that'll happen that won't happen in other situations."

Since the first site visit, the charity has expanded from just Pearl to nine highly trained miniature therapy horses.

In addition to weekly visits to the VA hospital, the organization visits children's hospitals, police and fire departments, schools, the Ronald McDonald house, and is a part of the Mayor's Crisis Response Team (CRT), offering equine-assisted activities (EAA) and equine-assisted therapy (EAT).

The horses were invaluable during the recent Los Angeles wildfires, offering services to those who lost their homes, the firefighters and crisis response teams, and anyone else who needed extra love and support during the difficult time.

"We did so much work during the wildfires and in the past with fires, we have now become part of the L.A. City Fire Department," Nodiff-Netanel shares.

Her horses recently went viral after Nodiff-Netanel posted a video of one of them waking up a child from surgery by playing an electric keyboard. Nodiff-Netanel says every horse in her care can play the piano, among other things.

Before a visit, all the horses are washed, their hair is braided and they all wear shoes. Each one knows how to maneuver in tight spaces, stay calm in loud situations, smile, play instruments, and adapt to anything. "We rotate them so they never get burned out," Nodiff-Netanel shares.

"Every visit, we come away with special moments. The horses are magical, and the connections they make are magical," she adds. "They react to things so gently, so calmly and with such sensitivity that people feel so comfortable around them. Here's this tiny little horse they can touch and interact with and hug and feel her heartbeat."

Nodiff-Netanel notes that none of this would be possible without the passion and commitment of her volunteers, who help with site visits and taking care of the horses. She also credits donations that help keep the organization running.

"It's donations from people who love the horses that keep the horses fed and the programs going," she says. "People can see all the different ways the horses help people. All these places we go to, from the police department, the fire department, to the schools, we're the only horses going there."

"We're the only horses in these hospitals. It takes a team to do this, and I couldn't do it without my volunteers. Volunteers are everything, and people who are like-minded who carry the same passion with the horses make it all work. Without them, I'm just one person with a little horse."

It's a stark number: 212,000. That's how many women ages 20 and over have left the workforce since January, according to the most recent jobs numbers released Aug. 1 by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. (By contrast, 44,000 men have entered the workforce since January.) The numbers show a reversal of recent trends that saw more women, especially women with children, finding and keeping full-time jobs.

Data show that between January and June, labor force participation rate of women ages 25 to 44 living with a child under five fell nearly three percentage points, from 69.7% to 66.9%, says Misty Lee Heggeness, an associate professor of economics and public affairs at the University of Kansas. It's a big reversal. The participation of those women had soared in 2022, 2023, and 2024, peaking in January 2025, as flexible work policies helped women join the workforce and generate much-needed income for their families.

Workers have seen flexibility revoked in 2025 on a large scale. President Donald Trump ordered federal employees back to the office five days a week in January, though many had negotiated remote work arrangements and some had even moved far away from their offices. Amazon, JP Morgan, and AT&T also returned to five days a week policies in 2025. Overall, full-time in-office requirements among Fortune 500 companies jumped to 24% in the second quarter of 2025, up from 13% in the end of 2024, according to the Flex Index, which tracks remote work policies.

This has hit women with a bachelor's degree in particular; their labor-force participation rate, which had been falling for decades before the pandemic, started ticking up again in 2020, peaking at 70.3% in September in 2024. It's been falling ever since, and stood at 67.7% in July 2025, according to the most recent jobs report.

It's not a coincidence that women's participation in the workforce is falling as flexibility disappears, says Julie Vogtman, senior director of job quality for the National Women's Law Center. Women capitalized on remote work and flexibility during the pandemic and stopped exiting the labor force, research shows. Now, many are not able to do so.

"Women still take on the lion's share of caregiving responsibilities, and they are more likely than men to be navigating how to meet those caregiving responsibilities while holding down a job," she says. "They are also more likely than men to feel that they have to leave the workforce when their balancing act becomes unmanageable."

Return-to-office policies are not proven to make companies more productive. One 2024 study of resumes at Microsoft, SpaceX, and Apple found that return-to-office policies led to an exodus of senior employees, which posed a potential threat to competitiveness of the larger firm. And nearly two-thirds of C-suite executives said that return-to-work mandates caused a "disproportionate number" of females to quit, according to a 2024 survey conducted by Walr, a data-collection agency, on behalf of Upwork and Workplace Intelligence. Many of those CEOs who reported women quitting said they were struggling to fill jobs because of that loss of female employees and that their overall workforce productivity is down.

"When I hear about these companies making everyone go back to the office, the most normal situation is it's being ordered by some old white male person with what I call care privilege, which is that they have someone who cooks their meals, irons their clothes, or picks their kids up from daycare," says Heggeness.

The disappearance of flexibility is not the only reason women are leaving the workforce in 2025. Some of the decline in participation comes from lower-income women in jobs that have historically had to be done in person full-time, even during the pandemic. Those women are struggling because federal dollars for childcare have declined significantly in 2025. That money helped many centers stay open and charge lower tuition than they otherwise would have. That funding ended in September 2024, forcing many centers to close or raise tuition, leaving some families without options.

What's more, the mass deportations occurring throughout the country now are affecting childcare providers, about 20% of whom are immigrants, according to Vogtman. Even if workers have legal status, some may be afraid to come to work, and others may have lost their own childcare and have to stay home as a result, she says. The federal funding helped some providers keep their costs down; now, childcare expenses are rising again. The amount of money American families spent on nursery, elementary, and secondary schools fell in much of 2023 and 2024, and then started to rise again in the fourth quarter of 2024, when it jumped 3.3%, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. It has risen every quarter in 2025..

"You have a population of working women who are finding it increasingly difficult to make the math work," Vogtman says.

Those include many federal government workers, who may have been drawn to their jobs because government jobs were long seen as flexible, with good benefits like parental leave, says Heggeness. Research suggests that women are more likely to take a lower-paying job if there are benefits attached like telework and flexibility around timing their schedule, she says. If those jobs then experience massive layoffs—as federal workers have under Trump's downsizing—women could be disproportionately affected.

As women leave the workforce, the Trump Administration is exploring ways to encourage women to get married and have more children in order to slow the country's decline in birth rate. But Heggeness suspects that forcing federal government workers back to the office makes many women choose between having children and pursuing their careers—and many might choose the latter.

"What they are doing right now, with the return-to-work policies and their leading by example, is the exact opposite of what you'd want to be doing from a policy perspective if you really care about increasing birth rates," Heggeness says.

Of course, for some women, leaving the workforce can be a blessing, if their partners have stable jobs that provide a good income. They have more time to spend with their families, and some are freelancing or starting their own businesses.

Sarah Wedge moved out of Philadelphia during the pandemic; her employment ended when her company called employees back to the office, she says, and she decided she didn't want to move her family back. Now, she's freelancing and spending more time with her three-year-old daughter. "I'm a mom, and that's part of why I've enjoyed freelancing; it's the whole fluid schedule that's great," she says.

But there are reasons to be concerned about women leaving the workforce. Without two salaries, many families struggle to afford basics like housing, food, and transportation; they have less money to spend, which means less money circulating in the economy. Their health care and other benefits are more precarious in an economy where only one partner works. Economic growth has slowed in the first half of the year; in the long term, slowing growth worsens people's standard of living.

For many women, this is more than an economic problem: it's a depressing reminder that the brief period of time when work-from-home reigned—when balancing family and work was actually sometimes possible—is over.

Big picture, women's labor-force participation has stalled in the U.S. in recent decades, peaking in the early 2000s even as it rose in many countries in Europe. But then, during the pandemic, rates started rising again, as women could handle childcare pickup and dropoff and other caregiving responsibilities while working from home. Among married women, rates rose from 56.9% in Jan. 2021 to 59% in Jan. 2024.

"What is most heartbreaking about all of this is that the pandemic felt like this revolution, where they finally realized we're human beings and they'll treat us with some degree of respect," says a mother of two whose company went back to mandating three in-office workdays, but which granted her a temporary exception, meaning she is still able to work remotely full time. "In the pandemic, they were saying, 'We care about you as people, and we understand that your well-being contributes to your productivity at work,'" she says.

The mother, who does not want her name used because she doesn't want to risk her remote status, has two young children and moved to be closer to their grandparents during the pandemic. Now, she's just waiting for her company to end her employment by reversing her remote work status, which the company says can be revoked at any time for any reason. She's not willing to pick up her family and move back, but she wishes she didn't have to choose.

"There's been a shift in the zeitgeist—now, it's 'We don't care about you, and you're replaceable,'" she says. "It's like we didn't learn anything."
