FBI probes US security official who quit over Iran war, Semafor reports

WASHINGTON, March 18 (Reuters) - Joe Kent, the ‌top U.S. ‌security official who resigned ​over the war in Iran, is under an FBI ‌investigation for ⁠allegedly leaking classified information, Semafor ⁠reported on Wednesday citing three ​sources.

The investigation ​pre-dates ​his departure ‌as the head of the National Counterterrorism Center on Tuesday, Semafor added.

The ‌FBI declined to ​comment ​on ​the report ‌when contacted by Reuters.
