In a rare bipartisan action on the strikes, Republican Senator Roger Wicker and Democrat Jack Reed said in a statement hey had not received information sought from the administration about its strategy to fight drug cartels.

Wicker, of Mississippi, is the chairman and Reed, of Rhode Island, is the top Democrat on the committee, which oversees the U.S. military.

The Trump administration insists those targeted were transporting drugs, without providing evidence or publicly explaining the legal justification for the decision to attack the boats rather than stop them and arrest those on board.

President Donald Trump has also ordered a major military buildup in the Caribbean.

Wicker and Reed said they requested "Execute Orders" related to the anti-drug trafficking operations in a September 23 letter. In another letter on October 6, they asked for any written opinion regarding the legal basis for the operations.

The lawmakers said they had not received the requested information by Friday.

Asked for comment, Pentagon Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson said in an email, "Several of the requested documents were made available to the chairman, ranking member, and their staffs to review yesterday. Additionally, the Department provided its fourth bipartisan briefing on these operations to Senate staff yesterday."

Trump denied on Friday that he was considering strikes inside Venezuela, appearing to contradict his own comments last week amid growing expectations that Washington may soon expand its operations related to drug-trafficking.

Amber Heard is celebrating Halloween for the first time with all three of her little ones!

The Aquaman star, 39, marked the spooky holiday with 4-year-old daughter Oonagh as well as her 5-month-old twins Ocean and Agnes, whom she welcomed earlier this year. On Friday (Oct. 31), Heard took to Instagram to share a snap of the family of four.

"Halloweening with my minnies," Heard captioned the series of photos, where she could be seen carrying her twins as Oonagh walked beside them.

In the snap, both Heard and Oonagh could be seen in witches costumes, wearing matching hats. Oonagh accessorized with a tulle skirt, orange sash and striped tights. Meanwhile, one of Heard's twins was dressed as a spider while the other appeared to be in a pumpkin costume.

Since moving to Spain in 2022, Heard has lived a quieter life and kept her children out of the spotlight. While she hasn't spoken extensively about her little ones, she did announce the arrival of her twins back on Mother's Day.

In a post on Instagram, Heard shared that she was "elated beyond words" to celebrate the completion of her family with the birth of Ocean and Agnes.

"When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn't possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!!" Heard captioned a post which showed all three of her babies together.

She continue, "Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life. I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully."

Sally Struthers is revealing how starring in Gilmore Girls, known for its fast dialogue, affected her as an actress.

In an October 2025 interview with The New York Post, Struthers spoke about her role as Stars Hollow resident, Babette Dell, during the show's original seven-season run and its 2016 four-episode Netflix reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. She explained that after Gilmore Girls ended in 2007, she took to the stage to portray Golde in Fiddler on the Roof. However, the director didn't love that she was rushing through her dialogue for the production in Maine. When her director said he was perplexed by how fast she was speaking, Struthers didn't initially know what he was talking about.

She said that she soon realized that she was used to talking quickly because of her tenure on Gilmore Girls. She let the director know that the show's creator,Amy Sherman-Palladino, required the cast to get their lines out quickly because she "writes the script for a one hour television show that's about 8 to 9 pages longer than all other one hour television shows." In addition, Struthers said that Sherman-Palladino's "writing is so brilliant, she doesn't want to cut any of the words."

According to the All in the Family star, she promised the director that she would "slow down" and "play Golde at a normal speaking pace," despite "speaking really fast" during the seven-year production of Gilmore Girls.

Lauren Graham Discussed the Specific Style of the 'Gilmore Girls' Dialogue

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in October 2025 for Gilmore Girls' 25th anniversary, Lauren Graham, who played Lorelai Gilmore, shared her thoughts about the show's dialogue. The actress said she believes "the writing on this show is like music."

"You wouldn't sing a ballad super speedy and you wouldn't sing a pop song super slowly," said Graham, who starred as Lorelai in both Gilmore Girls and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

She also told The Hollywood Reporter she was used to the dialogue because she "did a fair amount of theater and the language [of Gilmore Girls] has a theatrical quality."

"[Y]ou can feel it, you can hear it when you miss a word or when something's out of step, because, even though it's this bubbly stream of consciousness, it's written with an incredible amount of precision. I think it just spoke to what I gravitated towards already," said Graham to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the same Hollywood Reporter interview, Sherman-Palladino said she always intended the show to have a "very fast" pace.

"When a page is a minute a page, by the time Gilmore Girls really got up to speed and in its true form, we were less than 30 seconds a page. We needed twice as many pages to get the same amount of product — but at the time that I did the pilot, nobody believed me," said Sherman-Palladino to the publication.
