Chick-fil-A partners with Gadsden State Community College for new training program
High school students, recent graduates and adults looking to expand their career opportunities have a new option in Gadsden, Alabama.
Gadsden State Community College and Chick-fil-A have teamed up to offer a training program that will equip participants with essential skills needed to land jobs in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
After completing the training program, participants will earn an industry credential certificate of training in Hospitality: Food and Beverage.

"(This program) is a powerful example of how industry and education can work together to prepare a skilled, professional workforce," said Baisha Woody, director of skills training at Gadsden State.
Students in the program, offered through Gadsden State's Workforce Development Division, will receive hands-on training as well as classroom and video instruction in food safety and customer service.

The goals of the program are to reduce barriers to entry in the industry, foster professional development and equip students with leadership development skills.
Tammy Stephens, Chick-fil-A Gadsden operations and training lead, said the program will provide a pathway for opportunity while also highlighting the values and standards that make Chick-fil-A a leader in the food service industry.
